Yes, you’ll have to put in a bit more effort to pack a lunch the night before or in the morning but you’ll soon see the rewards on your hips and in your pocket. Buying lunches are expensive and will save you a good few rand in the long run.
10. Keep healthy snacks at home and at the office
It’s tempting to reach for unhealthy snacks when you are at home or at work. Stock up on low-calorie snacks and treats such as Greek yoghurt with raspberries, popcorn, hummus with celery or carrot sticks, seed bars, dark chocolate or a handful of almonds, walnuts or pecan nuts.
Remember to have a healthy snack option mid morning and late afternoon to stave off the hunger pangs and boost your energy levels throughout the day.
