How to useBring 6-8 cups of water to a boil in a pot with 1 teaspoon salt. Add 1 cup steel cut oats, return to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-high and boil uncovered until soft. Drain off cooking water, then serve with milk or a milk substitute, fruit or nuts. To reduce cooking time: rinse oats and cover with cold water overnight.
Tip: For your own oat flour, simply process rolled oat flakes in a food processor, which can then be used in baking, and to thicken curries, soups and stews!
