Finger Toothbrush for Pets | Pet Dent
Why your pet needs a Pet Dent Finger Brush
If you have ever wondered if your pet needs their teeth brushed regularly, wonder no more! Pets can develop all kinds of health issues from poor dental care like:
- Grotty discoloured teeth
- Bad breath
- Swollen inflammed gums (gingivitis)
- Loose and infected teeth
- Other more serious health issues like an infection in their heart valves and liver abscesses, to name a few!
All of the above can easily be avoided by ensuring that your pet's dental health is taken care of with regular brushing.
How old should your pet be to start regular tooth brushing?
You can start brushing your pet's teeth as early as 2 months. The younger you start the better. Your pet will easily become accustomed to the routine of tooth brushing and might even enjoy it!
How often should you brush your pet's teeth?
We recommend at least twice a week. However, for best results it might make more sense to brush at least once a day. Imagine if you only brushed your teeth twice a week?
How to use the Pet Dent Finger Brush
- Using a pet friendly (natural) toothpaste on your finger brush concentrate on the outside surface of the teeth. This is usually where the most plaque build-up is.
- Then move to the inside surface of your pet's teeth - this part can be tricky and isn't as important as the outer surfaces of your pet's teeth.
