Today I would like to talk to you about new beginnings! Our regular Cape Town customers know that we have recently moved shop and we also recently launched a brand new website design. This has sparked off such an amazing energy that I just had to share with you!
After a week of packing and carrying boxes and settling in to our beautiful new home at the Westlake Lifestyle Centre, we had our first staff meeting. (As a bonus we get to have our staff meetings at The Greenbean, which is next door to us and has yummy muffins!)
As we chatted about the move, we all agreed that, although we knew it was June, it felt exactly like the beginning of a new year! Everything felt new! We had been working hard, but we were rejuvenated and full of new ideas. Instead of being exhausted, we were all ready to go! ADSL and other IT problems notwithstanding, our spirits were high and we were all looking forward to new ideas and new growth.
They say that a change is as good as a holiday and our recent changes really gave us a boost that we are still feeling nearly 6 weeks later!
Do you need a change? Are you waiting for something to happen? Is there something weighing you down that you need to get off your back? Does it feel like you just can't seem to move forward?
You may be facing the doldrums in your life or perhaps there are big changes you know you need to make, but it all seems too overwhelming and besides, tomorrow is another day, right?
If you are looking for the emotional energy to shake yourself up, why not make a change in your life - any change will help to start that energy bubbling! By making a small but meaningful change, even if it does not relate to the main issue, you will be able to step into a new stream of energy that will start a new process...... and from that new process may come new beginnings that will surprise you!
Here are some ideas:
- Start a new routine. Instead of coffee on the go before work, wake up 15 minutes earlier and sit down to a breakfast and a glass of freshly squeezed fruit or veggie juice.
- Go for a 20 minute walk every day.
- Take up a new hobby or start a dance or yoga class
- Go vegetarian for a month - and then see how you feel after that (as a vegetarian myself, I am hoping you'll love it!)
- Move home or look for a new job (this may seem drastic but really will bring you a new perspective!)
- Go for a weekend away by yourself
I am sure that there are more ideas you can think of. You see, the changes or new beginnings don't have to be big. The important thing is this - when you have instituted a 'new beginning', use the energy to start another one.....then another one ..... and soon you will start seeing those positive changes as more being possible. It could be you will even re-invent your life - why not?
One new beginning I personally decided on is to get in touch more often with my Feelgood Health family! I am so very grateful for your loyalty over the years.
