3 essential oil blend recipes for winter health and immunity
While winter brings lovely things like cosiness, warm fires, hot meals and fun indoor game nights, it also brings some less favourable things like colds, flu, congestion and sometimes even depression.
If you're an essential oil fanatic, you'll know that there are oils that people can use for certain conditions such as improved concentration, relaxation, soothing of eczema, healing of acne, soothing PMS or reducing insomnia - to name a few! For this blog, we've formulated 3 desirable aromatherapy essential oils blends to help combat winter complaints! These blends are made from pure and organic essential oils as well as carrier oils. They can be rubbed on your temples, added to your bath or used as a massage medium. They're simple, affordable, and effective!
Uplifting Blend to Combat Winter Blues
- 9 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil
- 5 drops Ylang-Ylang Essential Oil
- 2 drops of Juniper Berry Essential Oil
- 6 teaspoons of your carrier oil of choice
Decongestant Blend
- 2 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- 7 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Lemon Bush Essential Oil
- 6 teaspoons of your carrier oil of choice
Immune-boosting Blend
- 4 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
- 5 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 6 drops of Clove Leaf Essential Oil
- 6 teaspoons of your carrier oil of choice
Add your carrier oil of choice into dark-coloured bottle. Then add the essential oils and mix ingredients together. Store in a cool, dark place.
Average dosage for essential oils blends
For adults: 15 drops essential oil per 6 teaspoons carrier oil
For kids: 3 to 6 drops essential oil per 6 teaspoons carrier oil
