Uses of coconut oil

Coconut Oil really is a miracle! It can be used as a beauty product, a health supplement or for cooking. In fact, it has so many uses that no home should be without it!

Beauty

Use organic coconut oil on your body (including your face) after a shower. It makes your skin lovely and supple and keeps it looking youthful and fresh! Also use it on your hair and scalp as a wonderful hair & scalp conditioner and rub some on your nails to strengthen them and make them shine. Coconut oil rubbed on the feet makes them soft and helps to remove cracked and dry skin on heels.

When used regularly, coconut oil helps to lighten age spots, moisturise and plump up the skin and improve tone and texture. It acts as a natural sunscreen (about SPF14).

Health

Coconut oil helps to heal the skin when you have any type of skin rash or insect bite. Also use it for eczema, psoriasis and yeast infections.

Use coconut oil for oil pulling, also known as "kavala" or "gundusha," . This is an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique that involves swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for about 20 minutes daily to draw out toxins in your body, improve oral health and as a general health tonic.

Coconut oil also helps to balance cholesterol levels.

Cooking & food preparation
