Recipe: Midnight Blue Superfood Smoothie
This sweet yet healthy smoothie will tantalise your taste buds and leave your tummy feeling satiated. Have it for breakfast, as a meal replacement, as a workout supplement, or even as a midnight treat!
It's high in protein, fibre, energy and essential vitamins and minerals. A nourishing, antioxidant-rich blend with phycocyanin for immune boosting power!
Makes: 2 servings
Preparation time: Overnight for blue water + 10 minutes to prepare
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of Macadamia Nut Butter
- 1 scoop of Nourish Protein Superfood Shake
- ½ cup of blueberries
- 1 frozen banana
- ½ cup of coconut milk (or your favourite milk alternative: Oat Milk, Rice Milk, Nut Milk, Almond Milk, Macadamia Milk)
- Blue water
How to make blue water
Stir 1 teaspoon of Spirulina Powder in 1 glass of water, leave it overnight. You will see that the blue pigment will stay at the top of the water and the rest of the spirulina will sink to the bottom. Pour off the top blue part (you don't need to pour everything into the smoothie).
Method
Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
