Homemade Catnip & Flaxseed Cat Biscuits Recipe
Spoiling your cat doesn't have to cost you a lot of money OR time! With these gluten-free homemade cat biscuits, you can have fun in the kitchen with the end result of a satisfied, purring feline! The ingredients offer a ton of health benefits, too.
Once baked and cooled, you can store the treats in an airtight container for up to a month. Give your fabulous feline a tasty treat between meals to let them know they are loved!
What you will need
- 106g tinned sardines or pilchards
- ½ cup Gluten-Free Flour
- 1 tablespoon Flaxseed Powder
- ¼ cup catnip
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Finely chop the catnip
- Mix the flour, flaxseed, and catnip in a bowl
- Place the sardines, oil and egg in a food processor or blender and mix until pureed
- Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients, stirring well
- Flip dough out onto a flour-lined flat surface
- Press to about 6mm thickness with your hands
- Cut out with small cookie cutters and place the cutouts on a baking tray lined with baking paper
- Bake for 10-12 minutes
- Allow to cool before giving to your cat
