Quercetin for Pet's Itchy Skin and Allergies: A Natural Solution

Quercetin for Pet's Itchy Skin & Allergies: A Natural Solution

If you are a pet owner, you are likely familiar with the discomfort and frustration that comes with watching your furry friend suffer from allergies and itchy skin. Some pet owners try everything to fix their pet's itchy skin, to no success. While there are many medications and treatments available, finding the right one for your pet can be difficult. Quercetin, a plant-based flavonoid, has shown promise in managing pet allergies and skin irritations. In this blog, we will explore the benefits of quercetin for pets and two products that contain this powerful ingredient: AllergiClear Pets and Itch Caps.

What is Quercetin and How Does it Work?

Quercetin is a well known flavonoid considered to be a 'building block' for other flavonoids. Flavonoids are important and powerful antioxidants found in fruits, vegetables and herbs. Flavonoids are widely used to reduce inflammation, boost immunity, strengthen blood vessels and improve circulation.

Quercetin is known for its ability to block the release of histamine, thereby preventing allergy symptoms like itchiness, sneezing or watery eyes and nose. Other benefits include reduced risk of heart disease, stroke and cataracts, anticancer properties and the ability to promote stable blood sugar levels.

In pets, quercetin works by stabilizing mast cells, which release histamine in response to allergens. By stabilizing these cells, quercetin can reduce the amount of histamine released and prevent the allergic response. Additionally, quercetin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, which can help reduce skin irritation and itching.

Benefits of Quercetin for Pets

Quercetin has many potential benefits for pets suffering from allergies and itchy skin. These benefits include:

  • Anti-inflammatory properties: Quercetin can help reduce inflammation in the skin and other tissues, which can help alleviate itching and irritation.
  • Antioxidant properties: Quercetin has powerful antioxidant properties that can help protect your pet's skin from damage caused by free radicals.
  • Stabilizes mast cells: By stabilizing mast cells, quercetin can help reduce the amount of histamine released in response to allergens.
  • Allergy relief: Quercetin has been shown to be effective in managing allergies in pets, including seasonal allergies and food allergies.

Itch Caps

Itch Caps is a natural supplement that contains a combination of quercetin, turmeric, and camellia , which work together to reduce inflammation and itching in pets. Turmeric and Camellia are digestive enzymes that can help break down proteins and reduce inflammation in the body. Itch Caps is available in a convenient capsule form that can be given to your pet directly or mixed into their food.

AllergiClear Pets

AllergiClear Pets is a natural supplement that contains a blend of herbs and nutrients, including quercetin, that are designed to support your pet's immune system and promote healthy skin. In addition to quercetin, AllergiClear Pets contains herbs such as silica, eyebright, and calc phos which are known for their anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. This supplement is easy to administer, as it comes in a convenient capsule form that can be given to your pet directly or mixed into their food.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a natural solution to manage your pet's allergies and itchy skin, quercetin may be worth considering. This powerful flavonoid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties, making it a popular choice for pet owners looking for a natural alternative to medications. AllergiClear Pets and Itch Caps are two supplements that contain quercetin and other natural ingredients that can help support your pet's immune system and promote healthy skin. Hi Elaine

Thank you for your question. One of the main ingredients in Itch Caps is quercetin. We recommend you give your dog Itch Caps as their main treatment, and also give them a course of Ear Dr Pets.

Warmest regards

I bought Allergy Itch Ease and AllergiClear for my 3.5 year old Boerebull. He is not an easy recipient of pills or anything that needs applying to the skin! AllergiClear easy to administer wrapped in butter. Then I read the instructions for the Allery Itch Ease and laughed. Tiny little granules. I am supposed to put 1/4 lid full on his tongue and hold his mouth closed briefly. Not possible. Solution was to cut little cubes of bread. Smear with butter and sprinkle pills on that. No problem! It’s only been a few days so still licking his feet. I understand it can take a few weeks. Here’s hoping!
